Why do you read beauty reviews? Probably because you know that looking good makes you feel good. And, ironically, the better you feel about yourself, the better care you’ll take of yourself. Some women go back to school to further their careers and others to further their minds. Either way, learning can be exciting. Go into it with the right attitude and the world is yours.

Every wonder how celebrities like Jennifer Aniston and Lindsay Lohan always seem to have a head of healthy and shiny hair? Don’t they ever get the dull, frizzy or flyaway hair like the rest of us? The truth is- the stars have bad hair days just like you and me. But they also have secret weapons. A class of beauty products that I call the shine hair products are the secret behind star-shiny hair. These are beauty products that treat the hair, make it healthy, and let it shine. And it’s really versatile. You can use it as a deep treatment conditioner before shampooing, a leave-in conditioner, or (my most common use) a shine hair enhancer. As a shine hair enhancer you just rub a small amount in your hands and smooth it over dry hair. Presto- you have shine hair just like the stars.

You all tell me that you read beauty reviews to find makeup ideas and get the latest on beauty and skincare products. There’s so much out there! I love scanning other beauty reviews and testing new products in search of ones that you will really benefit from. One of my favorite money and time-saving makeup ideas are beauty kits that come pre-assembled to create a certain look. There are a fair number of these out right now to create anything from smokey eyes to a Goth girl look. Here’s one of the best I’ve discovered.

It’s a whole series of makeup kits by Too Faced called the Quickie Collection. The collection includes the Miss Sixty Girl, Future Lovers, Bathing Beauty and the Royal Flush. I chose this collection to share with you because I think it does an excellent job at using colors and specific styles for each look. I like the way the Miss Sixty Girl provides an eye shadow quad that includes a sunflower yellow and navy blue.  But the Future Lovers collection leans toward metallic and glittery shades. Besides, any kit that promises “galactic glamour and cyber seduction” is surely worth a second look!

The Quickie Chronicles also include complimentary glosses and shadows. They’re priced between $25-$35 for everything. Just imagine trying to pay for 4 eye shadows, 2 eyeliners, 4 glosses, blush and a mirror individually. Cha-ching! (These are the specifics of the Miss Sixty Girl collection at $28.)

Many of you write in with questions about plastic surgery. As I am not a surgeon, I try not to offer any advice. If you are thinking of getting Breast Enlargement or other plastic surgery, you should really consult a doctor.

They are a UK based company but I really like how they are willing to help you make an educated decision. I mean how many plastic surgeons here will give you a free consultation? Beauty reviews are full of sheer cover cosmetics these days. What exactly is this, and is it something that your really need? Or is it just another catchy name to sell more beauty and makeup products? Well, the whole point of sheer cover makeup is supposed to be that you get good coverage for blemishes and redness, without the heavy feel of cream or liquid foundation. The big player right now in sheer cover cosmetics are the mineral makeup products. I’ve actually done a few beauty reviews on these in the past.

Honestly, I really like the Bare Escentuals i.d bareMinerals Foundation - SPF 15 Sunscreen and Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil. These are so popular because of the good coverage and lightness- just what they’re supposed to do. The foundation gives coverage and the veil absorbs excess oil and minimizes pores and fine lines. Why would you want these sheer coverage cosmetics instead of other foundations? Well, you’ve probably noticed that many of the liquids and creams can react by making lines more apparent or forming crease lines. You won’t get that with sheer cover cosmetics.

Are there any down sides to the sheer cover cosmetics? Well, you’re probably going to pay more for a quality product like the Bare Escentuals line than you will pay for a drugstore liquid foundation. So you need to decide if the benefits of sheer cover cosmetics are worth it for you. If tend to shine or have an issue with pores or fine lines, it may be a great investment. As always, you need to be the judge. Beauty reviews should be evaluated with what you already know about your own needs. No one knows your skin like you do.

As many of you know, I love jewelry, especially anything different or unique. Anyone can walk into a jewelry store and buy the same ring or earrings as every other woman cruising the mall. I like to find rings or necklaces that catch the eye.
