Hi all

Everyone has spread gossip one time or another, whether intentionally or not. We all may have different standards of what gossip is. My telling you about online contests or the latest trends in my posts might be considered gossip to some.

But there is a new show coming out, by the creators of the OC, that takes gossip to a whole new level. Based on the novel series by Cecily von Ziegesar, this series basically  is about some upscale New York young adults dealing with normal teenage issues - dating, drugs, peer pressure and their relationship to a few outsiders looking in. Gossip girl is the unseen narrator, yes I believe this writer may have seen Desperate Housewives a time or two, who fills you in on the latest gossip and stirs up a bit of trouble.  This gossip girl fills everyone in on the latest goings on from her, you guessed it, blog. Everyone wonders who she is but, and I am making a wild guess here, no one is going to find out until this series is well under way. Can you say Drama?

The first season of Gossip Girl will premiere on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 so if the idea of good gossip sparks your interest tune in.

Interesting premise, in my opinion.  Now I don’t approve of gossip as a general rule but this might be a good way to get in your gossip sessions without actually hurting anyone that you know, work with or love. Instead of gossiping about your neighbors, you can now gossip about Gossip girl to your co-workers and loved ones. Remember how we all burned up the phone wires when Desperate Housewives first started? This could be the Desperate housewives of the younger generation.

For all the parents out there, check this out first before letting your kids watch it. The issues of sex and drugs are prominent here so make sure that it fits into your comfort level of what your teens are watching.
