Coffee Maker Review - I was really impressed
October 31, 2007 No Comments
Hi all
I went to an art class last week and the instructor had a Keurig coffee maker. I had never heard of it before but his former students all swore by it and many had stopped going to Starbucks and raced to his class to make sure that they got a cup. After trying a cup I am hooked.
The coffee maker makes one cup at a time, but the pods that they use look like the little cream containers that you get at a coffee shop. There is absolutely no mess. On top of that every single cup is perfect, smooth with none of the bitterness that some coffees have.
I have tried several of their flavors and so far have not found a single one that I have not absolutely loved. Anyway, you know me, when I find something fabulous I have to share it with you all.
The best part is that it makes a perfect cup of coffee, tea and hot cocoa. You just but the pod of the type of beverage that you want, pop it in, and a few seconds later are sipping away.
Here is where you can buy your own Keurig coffee maker:

Beauty Reviews Hit the Road
October 29, 2007 No Comments
Taken any good trips lately? I have. Weekend getaways, family visits, out and out vacations. But you know what really makes me nuts about it? If I get there only to find that my shampoo has leaked all over my underwear. Or that that great little bottle of face wash is now indistinguishable from my hairspray. I did make these rookie mistakes once upon a time. That was before I discovered the essential tool that every girl should have in her beauty arsenal- the makeup bag.
Yes, I know- a makeup bag isn’t something you need to travel to the ends of the earth to find. So is it really necessary that I sit here and write beauty reviews on the subject? Ah yes, my lovely makeup maidens; I believe it is. Finding a decent makeup bag that will stand the test of time, face the indignities of post-911 airport security, and still look like something that a dignified diva can stand to be seen with is no small task.
A really good makeup bag should:
• Be attractive enough that you’d buy it for another purpose
• Be roomy enough for your specific needs
• Have zippers and closures to protect against leaks and spills
• Tempt me into writing great beauty reviews for it
Now your needs for a makeup bag and mine are bound to differ. A weekend trip to visit the folks and a weeklong honeymoon will call for dramatically different bags. But here are two makeup bags that earned their way in to my beauty reviews during a couple of my action-packed traveling adventures.
The Sephora Brand Core Nylon Double Handle Clutch Organizer is my favorite makeup bag for storing daily cosmetics or for a quick weekend get-away. OK-The name could use a little more sizzle, but frankly the style and functionality make up for that. It looks like a cute little handled clutch you could carry out on the town, but it’s full of mesh pockets, zippered enclosures, slide pockets, and even a removable makeup bag.
Not big enough for you seasoned travelers? Never fear- its big sister, the Sephora Brand Core Vinyl Double Handle Makeup Bag has 3 removable makeup bags. All sealed up tight when you need them to be. Who could ask for more of a makeup bag than that?
Let me know some of your favorites or give these little treasures a try.
Sincerely,

From Disastrous Dreads to Crème Hair
October 27, 2007 No Comments
We’ve been talking an awful lot about hair in these beauty reviews. Thinning hair, growing hair, and keeping the hair you’ve got in great condition. While you’ll find beauty reviews full of solutions for after the fact of hair loss, I always like to focus on prevention when I can. And one of the best things you can do to keep your hair healthy is to condition it with a rich and nourishing crème. Hair guru Frederic Fekkai is renowned for his innovative and transforming solutions.
Frederic Fekkai Technician Conditioner For Dry, Damaged, Color-Treated Hair 16 oz is one of the best conditioners I’ve discovered to restore shine and sheen to painfully damaged hair. It infuses your hair with vitamin B5, silk protein, apricot, and avocado in a powerful crème. Hair that is parched will instantly revive when nourished with the right nutrients. You know that I’m all about educating yourself when you have a beauty dilemma that needs to be solved. If you do a little bit of research on hair care, you’re bound to discover that Frederic Fekkai has earned his reputation for a reason. And with this amazing formula at your fingertips, there’s no reason to lament the sorry state of your hair any longer.
Try it for yourself.

Waterproof Make Up Beauty Reviews
October 22, 2007 No Comments
How often have you been a victim of “raccoon eyes” due to drippy eye makeup that didn’t last through that unexpected tear-jerker of a movie? (Or maybe your unexpected tear-jerker of a life?) That’s why a key component of every girl’s cosmetics tool kit should be some really good waterproof make up. But to find the make up you really love in a waterproof version isn’t always easy.
That’s why I was so excited to find this value packed makeup kit. The Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Collection is a limited edition value pack issued this season by Makeup Forever. And yes, I know I’ve been praising the merits of makeup kits to death in some of these beauty reviews- but what’s not to love?

This waterproof make up kit also includes one of the best makeup innovations I’ve ever seen- Make Up For Ever Eye Seal 0.4 oz. Eye Seal is this miraculous formula that can transform any powder into a waterproof liquid liner. Isn’t that cool? But the kit also includes mascara, cleanser, liner and pencil.  A total value of $85 at a cost of $45. Now do you se why I love these waterproof make up kits?
There are bargains out there girls, just waiting to be had. And I’ve got a lot more beauty reviews to bring you on all these great products. So keep on reading!

FDA Bans Tattoo Removal Creams
October 16, 2007 No Comments
Hi all
Looking to remove that tattoo that you got one not so sober Saturday night? Well you may want to reconsider tattoo removal creams, as the FDA is saying that they could be linked to cancer. I just heard about this tonight.
Here is a company that claims to have a safer alternative:tattoo removal It also happens to be a lot less expensive than laser tattoo removal.Â
InkBusters.com Press Release
Headline: FDA bans Tattoo Removal Creams?
San Diego - With the launch of it’s new website, Inkbusters.com warns the public about possible health risks associated with using tattoo removal creams purchased on the Internet. The new site states “many” tattoo removal creams sold online contain Hydroquinone, which is usually the active ingredient in skin bleaching creams.
In August 2006 the FDA proposed a ban on over the counter skin bleaching creams containing Hydroquinone due to concerns about Cancer and Exogenous Ochronosis. This proposed ban is similar to those already enacted in Japan, France, Great Britain and Australia for the same reasons.
InkBusters.com CEO Rick Barker notes, “Indirectly—and probably without knowing it—the FDA is saying they think the tattooed public may be at risk if they use tattoo removal creams containing Hydroquinone. This is particularly true when you consider most skin bleaching cream makers––prescription or OTC––never recommend Hydroquinone be used more than 4-6 months for maximum effect. Many tattoo removal cream makers online offer supplies well beyond this recommended period.”
InkBusters.com sells TCA at its website to help consumers remove tattoos in a natural non-laser fashion. TCA is a popular non-prescription skin-peeling agent commonly used by doctors, health spas and private individuals to remove fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars on the face. TCA has twice been medically tested and proven to fade and/or remove tattoos on the body. TCA looks and feels like water and is applied with a q-tip. There is no Hydroquinone in TCA.
Check out the site for yourself and check with your doctor before trying any treatment for tattoo removal. It is better to be safe than sorry.
