Beauty Recipes for a Better Mood

January 12th, 2009

As we all get in the swing of our New Year’s resolutions, often times we will feel distinct changes in our mood. At first it will be a euphoric mood when our resolutions seem on track and, of course, the downturn to a bitter and disappointed mood when our resolutions ultimately fall flat on their face.

However, a few beauty recipes may be just the treat your mood needs to keep you happy and moving forward. Just because I (oops I mean someone!) didn’t spend the 30 minutes in the gym like I promised on January 1st does not mean that I have to stop the primping!

When you’re feeling down on yourself, it is tempting to pile on the sweatpants, throw your hair in a ponytail, and skimp over the make-up. What would the beauty blogs say about that?? Instead, keep these instructions on hand for your beauty recipe to a better mood.

1.Resist the urge to put your hair in a ponytail! Straighten it, curl it, or do whatever it is to it that makes you feel it is at its best.
2.Go to your favorite make-up trick. You know- the one that makes you feel your best! French nails, smoky eyes, a little shimmer…
3.When all else fails, try a revolutionary and fun new product. A mood swing lipstick is offered by Too Faced, which will change depending on your emotions (yes, like a mood ring!)

Beauty recipes for a better mood will work on some days, but above all, don’t be so hard on yourself. We are all busy, talented, and successful girls and women; giving yourself a break is sometimes the best beauty recipe out there. Keep moving forward.
