The Bridesmaid: Hair Made Easy
May 21, 2008 No Comments
Every girl dreams of her wedding. The gown. The groom. The dancing. The toasts.
What about your best girlfriends? Your maid of honor and bridesmaids truly add something special to the day. After all, you couldn’t have gotten to this point without them! So make sure that you plan for their role in your big day. By giving a little thought to the makeup, hair and accessories, you’ll eliminate any wedding day drama over bridesmaid hair or some other detail.
Now, I’m not saying that your girlfriends have anything but the best of taste. After all, they chose you for a friend, right? And you chose each woman as a bridesmaid. Hair and makeup ideas can differ greatly however, even among the best of friends. So if you don’t want Karen to show up with frizzy hair, or Anne to go overboard on the blue eye shadow, you’d better have a plan.
A good start for ideas would be beauty reviews. There is a lot of advice and information in beauty reviews to help you find a great hairstyle that works for all your bridesmaids. The key to good bridesmaid hair is simple if you remember 3 key points in your planning:

Despite differences in hair length, an updo is an elegant style for anyone with long enough hair.
A good choice is the classic French braid.
Here’s how to put your hair (or any bridesmaid hair) in a French braid:

Finishing off the braid for a smooth look involves choosing a great hair spray. Without hairspray you will find that stray hairs tend to pull out and the look can become messy. A good hairspray to use is Frederic Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray. It will work great for any hair type and help keep hair in place all day long. It’s the little things like this that will make your big day great.

Heat and Dryers: Hair Foes?
April 29, 2008 No Comments
You probably know that by using hair dryers, hair damage should be a main concern. Hair dryers are a great tool, but they are also quite damaging to hair. However, for most women it is difficult, if not impossible, to stop using them. That is why it is important to seek out hair dryers that are the least damaging to the hair.
Do you know how hair dryers damage hair?
The extreme heat of a hair dryer, concentrated on the hair dries it out and makes the cuticles of the hair open up instead of lie flat. This causes the hair to look frizzy and over time will cause damage to the hair follicles.
In addition to using hair dryers, hair damage is also caused by other styling tools like curling irons and strengtheners. There really is no way to completely stop all the damage you do unless you stop using hair dryers and other styling tools, which is probably not going to allow you to get the look you desire.
The truth is that in the name of beauty we women are willing to risk a little hair damage. Fortunately, the industry has recognized this problem. There are an array of hair dryers, hair straighteners and other tools that are designed to help reduce the damage to hair.
One such product is the T3 Bespoke Labs Medium Duality Iron. I like this straightening iron because it also dries your hair. You do not need to blow dry your hair before straightening because it will be dried as you straighten. You will be eliminating that one damaging step and combining everything into one step. Besides saving your hair from damage, this saves you time, too.
Keeping your hair looking great should include proper care and that means you have to pay attention to all the abuse you throw at your hair.
Here are some other great tips:
- Using a dual straightener and dryer is one great step towards beautifully healthy hair.
- Get regular trims and deep conditioning treatments to really keep your hair healthy.
- Beauty reviews recommend a cut every six weeks and,
- Deep conditioning once a week.
It’s your hair and your responsibility to keep it looking great with the best care.

Hi all
Do you have a birthday or anniversary coming up? Any celebration where champagne is involved will do. If you can manage to save a cup of the bubbly, you are in for a rare treat. Take that remaining champagne and mix it with hot water ( one cup of water per one cup of champagne). Go wash your hair, as usual. Then pour the champagne over your hair, catching it in a bowl if you can. Re-rinse it with this mix two to three times and blow dry as usual.
The champagne will give your hair a lovely natural shine and you will feel luxurious just performing this ritual.
Try it for yourself.
Sincerely,

The diversity of medium hair styles is one of the main reasons why they are so popular. Most women will settle on a medium length because there is so much you can do with it. Having a versatile hair style is something that can make it easier to get ready everyday and help you like your hair.
Too short or too long hair styles become limiting. There is only so much you can do with them. Some people become rather attached to long hair, but it can be hassle to care for and once it becomes so long it is difficult to take care of. Short hair styles are easy to maintain and care for, but they give you the same look day in and day out.
With medium hair styles you get options. You can wear your hair up or down. You can get layers to add body and fullness or you can leave it straight in a blunt cut. The options are almost unlimited as to what you can do with a medium length.
One popular option is a simple pony tail. The best pony tail starts with a good brush. One to try is the Frederic Fekkai classic brush. A good hair brush, like this one, will help to distribute the natural oils form your scalp to your hair which gives it a nice shine. To make the pony tail you simply:
1. Brush your hair back and gather all of it in one hand. 2. You can then move the hair to whatever height you want and secure it with a hair elastic. 3. Transform the pony into a casual style by leaving some of the hair rather than pulling it all through or 4. Leave out the elastic, twist the hair and secure with bobby pins for an instant updo 5. Use loose hair for ringlets or secure with gel or barrettes
Beauty reviews will often focus on medium hair styles when suggesting a length for someone. This is because a medium hair style works for almost everyone. It is something worth considering when you go to the salon for your next cut.

Hair is a constant battle for any woman in the overall war of beauty. It seems nothing has received such attention as hair. Perhaps that is because it is so versatile and so different. There are so many types of hair and each woman has her own struggles and challenges with her hair. However, if there is common ground to be found it is with hair highlights.
Beauty reviews and experts will tell you that hair highlights are a great option for almost any woman who wants to change the look of her hair. They can add body, texture and dimension to hair to give it a whole new life. That makes hair highlights something to consider of you are looking for a way to pump up your hair’s look.
There is a huge market for hair highlights. Every company makes them so you can get the highlighted look at home without having to go to the salon. This makes them affordable for anyone. You have many options. There are a wide range of products with special tools that make the process less risky then it used to be in the past when streaks and chunky highlights were usually the result of at home attempts.
You can also find many shampoos and conditioners on the market that aim to bring out natural highlights in your hair. A good shampoo to try is Ted Gibson Glimmering Gold Shampoo which helps to bring out your true hair highlights and gives you an overall healthy glow to your hair. This line also features products for brunettes and redheads, so every woman, no matter her hair color, can enjoy a little natural lift.
No matter what method you choose, adding highlights to your hair is a great way to spruce it up and get a new look for summer. It tells people you are ready for a little fun in the sun. Plus it doesn’t hurt that you are going to be looking as radiant as ever.

Organic Hair Treatments for Fuller Hair
March 20, 2008 No Comments
Hi all
Let’s talk about something that is a struggle for many women. If you read the beauty reviews you will see that time and time again women seek out advice on how to make their hair look full and get more volume. The beauty industry is laden with products that address the issues of thin, flat hair. However, one of the best ways and most natural ways to give you hair a boost is with organic hair care products.
There are many reasons why women have flat, thin hair and many times fixing the problem and getting to the main cause can be stressful. Additionally, thin, flat hair is weak hair, so it needs more TLC than thick and lush hair. Too many times women use harsh products on their hair trying to get that volume and thickness they so crave. Harsh products leave a build up that further damages the already strained hair.
With organic hair care products you will be providing your hair with gentle care. You will not be adding to the stress and strain on your hair which can go a long ways towards helping you achieve that natural fullness you so desire.
Deep conditioning is a perfect opportunity to make your hair healthy. It is important to understand that no matter how thick your hair looks if it does not look healthy then nothing else matters. So you want to condition. Try the Ojon Nurturing Hair Ritual Kit. This deep conditioning treatment kit will revive your hair to a state of extreme healthiness. You will see even the thinnest hair looks so much better when you try this organic hair care treatment.
I have used this one myself whenever I need to whip my hair back into shape and absolutely love the results.
Sincerely,

Wash your hair on the go without water. Really. I just found this amazing product by Oscar Blandi called Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo . It’s designed to be used on the go or between shampoos and doesn’t need water. It is a combination of rice, oats and tea tree oil that helps to absorb oil and boost volume between shampoos. If you’re like me, you don’t always have time to run home for a quick shower; but if your hair needs a pick me up then this is your answer!

January 17, 2008 No Comments
Just like your facial care routine, your hair needs a care routine. You should be giving your hair the TLC it needs to stay healthy and look beautiful. Try adding the restorative hair treatment from Ojon to your routine. Why? You want the high quality that Ojon offers in hair systems.
The Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment is a concentrated product that contains 100% palm nut oil. It can transform dry, over processed hair into shiny, silky hair. It will not weigh hair down, but rather works to fortify and rebuild hair. This is exactly what your damaged hair needs and what beauty reviews recommend from hair systems. I like it because I can see the transformation and how it makes my hair easier to manage when I use it.
Depending upon your needs you will want to use it either as a deep conditioner or a leave-in conditioner. If your hair is not too bad off then a deep conditioning treatment once a week should be fine. You just smooth on the product for 10 to 20 minutes and then shampoo as normal. However, if you struggle with damaged hair then you may want to use it as a daily leave-in conditioner. As I mentioned, it won’t weigh you hair down or leave it looking greasy, so use as a leave-in treatment is fine.
This product from Ojon can also be used as a shine enhancer. Just smooth a little over dry hair to give it some oomph! I really enjoy doing beauty reviews on products that have multiple uses.
I really think that this is an amazing hair systems product that is very versatile. You will really be getting a great value for your dollar and your hair will be so thankful that you are starting to give it the TLC it deserves.

January 11, 2008 No Comments
Hi all and Happy 2008! Hope you rang in the New Year with a lot of fun and frivolity. How about those New Year Resolutions? I think this is a great time to re-evaluate and set goals for how to get where I’m going. While some of my focus is business oriented, and some is on continuing to have fun with these beauty reviews, I always make sure that I take a look at my personal life and health too.
One of the best pieces of advice I ever heard was that you have to take care of yourself before you’re good for anyone else. “Sure,” I can hear you thinking. “But does a glossy new hair crème really fit into those priorities?”
Here’s my thinking; whether you are focused on weight control, good skin care or healthy hair, your grooming reflects your control over your own life. If I can’t be accountable enough to manage my hair health, I’m definitely going to have problems in other areas of my life. Start small. Control what’s in your control before worrying about things you can’t.
So here’s my latest recommendation to take control of your frizzled, fly-away or damaged mane. Frederic Fekkai (the hair guru) has a Glossy Crème that was voted Best of Sephora last year - Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream 4 oz. It gets my personal vote because it offers UVA/UVB protection, prevents damage from both styling devices and environmental offenders, and absorbs really fast. No, it’s not greasy or heavy. It is a leave-in conditioner, but it won’t weigh you down.
So whether you decide to try a new hair crème, new diet, or new attitude in 2008, just remember that your potential is truly limitless. Have a great year!
Sincerely,

The Most Powerful Beauty Tip for Your Hair and Make Up Get ready to transform girls, because today I’m going to share the quickest, easiest, and most transformational beauty tip I know for hair and make up. For all the beauty reviews I read and write, this one little trick has the most “bang for the buck” to take you from a rags to riches appearance instantly. Ready?
Shape your brows.
Really? Yes, if you’re not already in the habit of waxing or shaping your eyebrows, this one change has the power to make you look instantly polished. If you’re not a big fan of waxing, or if your eyebrows need a little filling in- no worries. I recommend you start with the Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Essential Brow Kit . This provides brow color, mascara and a perfectly shaped brow brush. My favorite part is that you can customize it by choosing any shade to perfectly complement your hair color. It comes in a pale/ash blonde, medium/dark blonde, auburn or brunette.
This is one of those hair and make up changes that no one will no you made; they’ll just know that you look really good for some reason. For me, that’s the best type of transformation. Don’t you love hearing “Wow, you look great!” ? I know I do. And I don’t mind at all if no one else knows why.
So I dare you to give it a try. Then drop me a line and let me know. I’ll bet you are amazed by the big results of this subtle change.
Sincerely,
