Puffy Eyes - Give your eyes a wakeup call with this beauty secret

Have puffy eyes? Need to tame the redness? Have some lines around the eyes you’d rather not show off to the world?

Lack of sleep tends to result in many of the biggest issues I write about in these beauty reviews. Not to worry, there are beauty secrets even for the most sleep deprived among us.

It’s hard to conquer the aging process, and for some of us, the battle begins with our eyes. The delicate skin to be found there shows stress, fatigue, and even illness and allergies. If you’re looking for a way to fight this, you might try a handy little product called Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels.

The one-use gels are applied just under your eyes, once a week for ten minutes. Small enough to toss in your handbag or in your car, you can use them on the go; whether you’re waiting in traffic or commuting on an airplane. Besides, I like beauty secrets that require me to close my eyes for a few minutes!

Nobody likes to look out at the world from puffy, lined eyes, and this is a great way to relax a bit while taking better care of yourself. Paying attention to the eye area just once a week will bring you long-term benefits; you’ll look better and feel better, too.

Eye gels do beat cucumber slices, which tend to rot and drip if taken along in your purse – they aren’t very portable and unless you also enjoy eating cucumbers, they end up being wasted. So you don’t need to go through the day looking as tired as you feel. And the real beauty secret is that once you look more energized, you’re likely to feel that way!

P.S. A friend just told me about a fantastic product for under the eyes called Benefit Cosmetics Lemon-Aid. She swore to me that every time that she wears it people say that she looks great. Well guess what? I met up with her for coffee the other day and the first words out of my mouth were,” You look fantastic!” I thought she had gone to a spa. She just laughed and pointed to her eyes and said Lemon Aid. Guess where I dragged her after coffee? That’s right. Straight to Sephora to pick some up. I highly recommend this product.

Hair Highlights Your Beauty

Hair is a constant battle for any woman in the overall war of beauty. It seems nothing has received such attention as hair. Perhaps that is because it is so versatile and so different. There are so many types of hair and each woman has her own struggles and challenges with her hair. However, if there is common ground to be found it is with hair highlights.

Beauty reviews and experts will tell you that hair highlights are a great option for almost any woman who wants to change the look of her hair. They can add body, texture and dimension to hair to give it a whole new life. That makes hair highlights something to consider of you are looking for a way to pump up your hair’s look.

There is a huge market for hair highlights. Every company makes them so you can get the highlighted look at home without having to go to the salon. This makes them affordable for anyone. You have many options. There are a wide range of products with special tools that make the process less risky then it used to be in the past when streaks and chunky highlights were usually the result of at home attempts.

You can also find many shampoos and conditioners on the market that aim to bring out natural highlights in your hair. A good shampoo to try is Ted Gibson Glimmering Gold Shampoo which helps to bring out your true hair highlights and gives you an overall healthy glow to your hair. This line also features products for brunettes and redheads, so every woman, no matter her hair color, can enjoy a little natural lift.

No matter what method you choose, adding highlights to your hair is a great way to spruce it up and get a new look for summer. It tells people you are ready for a little fun in the sun. Plus it doesn’t hurt that you are going to be looking as radiant as ever.

Sincerely,

How to Use Hair Powder

August 5, 2007   No Comments

One of the hair and beauty secrets that the Hollywood stars hold so dear is the use of hair powder. Classic fashion hair updos that stay up, oily hair that never looks stringy- hair powder is their secret. I know, if you’ve got fine and limp hair that loses its shape within the hours updos are frustrating. That’s where hair powder comes in.

Did you ever try to use cornstarch or baby powder to control oily hair? Well, it works. The problem is that cornstarch and baby powder are really messy. And a brunette can go grey if she overdoes it on the baby powder. I found a hair powder by Bumble and Bumble that comes in 5 different colors so that it actually blends in with your hair. This even helps blend the roots in better. I also found a powder called Shake it Loose Powder by Tigi Bedhead. I’ve had a lot of luck with the Bedhead products.

Hair powder is really easy to use.

1. Shake really well.

2. Spray and work through hair with your fingers.

3. Style away.

That’s really it. 1-2-3. You didn’t think all that Hollywood hair just styled itself did you?

Sincerely,
