Beauty Tips You Can Use to Save Money

Hi all

So you love expensive high quality products but don’t have Paris Hilton’s bank account. Don’t worry. We all want to look great without breaking the bank. Here are a few tips to keep you looking beautiful without costing a fortune:

1) Use only a drop of moisturizer for your face and neck. The drop should be about the size of a dime. More than this doesn’t actually do you any good. Your skin can only absorb so much so why waste product?

2) Buy hair care products that work in concentrated amounts. For example Potion 9 only requires you to use a smidgen of their product for your whole head. It works extremely well to give you soft bouncy hair and using more than the recommended amount actually weighs your hair down.

3) Use only a small amount of conditioner for your hair and only from the middle of your head down. Any more and your hair will appear greasy. Natural oils accumulate at the scalp so you don’t need to apply conditioner to the top of your head.

4) When using your perfume, unscrew the top and use the plastic applicator to apply just a drop to your pressure points. Never use the spray to spritz yourself. You end up wasting perfume and risk overdoing it. Just the slightest hint of perfume placed at the pulse points go a long way.

The key to looking great and saving money is to buy high quality products but use them sparingly. A good quality product is designed to work in small doses.  Take the money you save and put it into a vacation account. Relaxation is one of the best free beauty treatments.

Detox Your Way to Beauty

Hi all

You know that I review alot of skin care products and makeup products but I also believe that beauty starts from the inside out. You may be eating healthier now but what about all the times that you, like most of us, ate junk? That stuff is probably still in your system.

I went to a colon specialist a few years back and the pictures she showed me of what many people have built up in their systems left me a bit nauseous.

Many people believe that a body detox is a good way to get rid of the toxins that collect in our bodies. Body Detox with Dual Action Cleanse is one system that we recommend to help rid your body of build up.

I have used detox kits before and always feel so much lighter and healthier afterwards. You just have to follow directions carefully. Don’t exert yourself too much, especially the first day or two. And remember, while you are detoxing, avoid those foods that you know are not good for you.

Remember to include good nutrition to your beauty regime. It will make all the difference in the world.

Sincerely,

Taking Beauty into Your Own Hands

The whole purpose behind this blog is to help you feel good about you. Makeup and skincare products are great to bring out your best. And it’s my job to help you get there. You’ve heard me talk a lot about having your beauty tool kit in place. One of the key items that you need to have is a good makeup brush for every occasion.

Any beauty reviews you’ll see will recommend a specific type of makeup brush for blusher, a different on for eye shadow, well you get the picture. Is this really necessary? Think of it this way. Imagine trying to hammer a nail into a wall with the heel of your shoe. You could probably make it work but it’d be more difficult, more time-consuming, the nail might end up crooked, and your poor shoe could suffer as well. You had the wrong tool.

Well, the same can be said for your makeup brush. Yes, you can apply eye shadow with a q-tip, but it won’t blend right. You can use the tiny makeup brush that comes in some blush kits, but you won’t get the same sweeping coverage that a Full Coverage Kabuki Brush is designed to give you.

Need a good place to start? Try the Limited Edition Summer Brush set from Sephora. It includes 5 brushes for powder, eye shadow, crease work, flat eyeliner, and lip coverage. And it comes in a snazzy red travel pack. Now that’s an easy way to take your beauty into your own hands.
